There is a war going on out there and the target is our minds! Everywhere you look, everything you listen to, and every thing you read has one objective – your attention. Some of the information may be very good and at a high level of importance in your life, but most of it is simply a detraction from what is really important. In this age of subjectivism we tend to act more like a sponge soaking all the information almost as fact without any investigation as to its validity. Objectivism demands we give careful review and research of all received information to test its validity. Next we need to be introspective considering whether it may be beneficial personally, something to share with whom the fit might be better than ourselves, or if it is simply more information fit for the trash heap. If we are to raise our potential as individuals objectivity is a must.
How much of what you took in today built you up, made you stronger, or equipped you to build others up? Compared to the balance of the information I am almost certain the majority of the information was useless! Negativity is the fruit of unproven or limited information used to distract us from what is really important. Keep your guard up and think of your mind as a treasure chest worth protecting from invaders.
